For several years, the Daughters of Penelope Greek Folk Dancers performed at schools and many events throughout the Peninsula to share the music, dance, and traditional costumes of the Greek people. Charis Eleni and AHEPA #241 contributed to our Church, established scholarships, and donated to many charities. The AHEPA Family Center was completed in 1999.
Local projects include:
--Annual Easter Egg Hunt
--Award annual Scholarship to qualified students whose parents are members of DOP or AHEPA
--Introduce the food and culture of Greece at the Children's International Festival in Hampton.

--AHEPA #241 Casino Night
--Fashion Show & Luncheon
Charis Eleni contributes to local charities and to charities selected by the District and National Offices of the Daughters of Penelope.
The Chapter holds meetings monthly on Sunday after Church service in the AHEPA Family Center at 60 Traverse Road, Newport News, Virginia. Occasionally, meetings are held on a Thursday night preceded by a potluck supper and joined by our AHEPA Brothers.
